I do not understand the purpose of making copies of data on paper for journals. Data can be represented so well in digital form. It is so much more easier to handle. Still our colleges insist on taking copies on paper. This is not only a waste of paper but also leads to a lot of waste of time. If there is one improvement that the current engineering system needs, it is to get rid of its dependency on paper. Most of the work can be done in digital form. This should be encouraged. Colleges should try to conduct tests in digital form rather than on paper.
(Apart from other advantages it would go great lengths to eliminate the negetive bias that an hand-writing as bad as mine generates.)
